Accessibility Statement
d-labs is committed to making Sam and our digital services accessible to as many people as reasonably possible.
Last updated: 20th of August 2026
1. Our commitment
We believe digital products should be designed so that people can access information and services regardless of ability, technology or circumstance.
Accessibility is therefore something we intend to consider as Sam and our website continue to develop.
2. Accessibility standard
We aim to design and maintain our website and digital services with reference to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, Level AA.
We do not currently claim that every part of Sam or the Sam website has been independently audited or certified as fully conforming with WCAG 2.2 AA.
WCAG 2.2 is the current W3C standard, and the Australian Human Rights Commission's current digital-accessibility guidance recommends WCAG 2.2 at a minimum Level AA.
3. What we are working towards
In designing and maintaining our digital services, we aim to consider matters including:
keyboard navigation;
clear and logical heading structures;
readable text;
sufficient colour contrast;
screen-reader compatibility;
meaningful alternative text for relevant images;
accessible forms;
clear form labels and error messages;
appropriately sized interactive controls;
consistent navigation;
avoiding unnecessary reliance on colour alone;
accessible authentication where practicable; and
appropriate alternatives for multimedia content.
4. Ongoing improvement
Accessibility is an ongoing process rather than a one-off project.
As Sam develops, we intend to identify and address accessibility barriers and consider accessibility when new features and content are introduced.
5. Third-party technology
Some parts of our services may rely on technology provided by third parties.
While we cannot directly control every aspect of third-party technology, we will consider accessibility when selecting, configuring and reviewing services where reasonably practicable.
6. If you experience a problem
If you have difficulty accessing Sam or any information on our website, please tell us.
It is helpful if you can include:
the page or feature you were using;
what you were trying to do;
the problem you experienced;
the browser or device you were using; and
details of any assistive technology involved, if you are comfortable providing them.
You do not need to provide information about a disability to request assistance.
7. Alternative assistance
Where reasonably possible, if information or functionality is not accessible to you, we will work with you to provide an appropriate alternative.
8. Accessibility feedback
Accessibility questions, feedback and requests for assistance can be sent to:
We appreciate feedback because it helps us improve Sam for everyone.
